Countertenor Algirdas Bagdonavičius grew up in Vilnius, in the heart of Europe. The rich musical life of the city pulled the soloist in, and led him to strive to reach the heights in classical singing. Amazing architecture of Vilnius Old Town, which is full of different styles of buildings (Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Modern), resulted that the Old Town was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This amazing cultural environment of Vilnius inspired the singer to choose an exquisite and extremely rare way in Lithuania - the way of the countertenor.
His biggest passion - Baroque music (first of all the compositions of composers C.Monteverdi, A.Scarlatti, J.S.Bach, H.Purcell, A.Vivaldi, G.F.Handel, etc.). Also he likes to sing the classical pieces (Ch.W.Glück, Mozart, etc.) and contemporary music (C.Orff, I. Stravinsky, B.Britten, etc.).
Soloist singing repertoire is very wide and varied - he performs operatic, chamber and church music.
Raised in the heart of Europe, Algirdas Bagdonavičius hopes that his singing will conquer the whole Europe, and later the wide world.

The medieval love story, full of passion and fights, told by the charming countertenor voice of loving and rejected knight.
